A Wig Customer Wants a Discount. What Should You Change?

Concept illustration: a retail discount keeps specifications unchanged; a revised configuration needs a new quote.

You can lower your retail price while keeping the wig exactly as quoted, or offer a different configuration at a newly confirmed price. Decide which offer you are making before replying. A customer who agrees to a discount on a particular wig has not agreed to a shorter length, different cap or changed color work.

NUSFACE agents set their own retail prices. A lower price to your customer does not automatically lower the supply price or freight you pay NUSFACE. The immediate question is whether you can offer the original wig for less, and whether that is the sale you want to make.

Find out what the customer wants to keep

“Can you do a better price?” leaves an important question unanswered. Does the customer want this configuration at a lower price, or are they open to changing the order to fit a budget? Ask that before choosing something to remove.

An illustrative reply is: “Would you like me to check what I can offer for this exact configuration, or would you consider another option within your budget? Which part of the look would you want to keep?” This gives the customer a choice without promising a reduction you have not worked through.

They may care most about the longer silhouette, the brighter pieces around the face or a particular parting. Changing the feature that made them interested can produce an affordable offer they no longer want. If their priorities are still unclear, the first wig inquiry guide explains how to discuss what they noticed in a reference.

A discount keeps the original offer intact

If you reduce the retail price for the same wig, keep its agreed specifications and delivery arrangement in view. The quoted wig price and freight remain costs of that order unless NUSFACE separately confirms a change. The reduction comes out of what you would otherwise receive from the sale; it does not create a supplier discount.

Consider whether the reduced selling price still covers the costs and work you have committed to. Include any customer service you actually offered, rather than assuming a lower price lets you quietly omit it. For the broader cost calculation, see who sets the price in a wig resale partnership.

You can also keep your original price. If the requested reduction leaves an offer you cannot support, say so clearly. There is no need to invent a factory rule or a company minimum retail price to explain your own decision. NUSFACE does not guarantee that a particular price will win the order or leave you a profit.

A different configuration needs a different offer

When the customer is open to alternatives, start with a detail they are willing to change. A different length, cap construction or color request may change the supplier quote. It does not follow that every shorter wig or simpler-looking color will cost less; obtain a quote for the actual alternative before presenting it as a saving.

Keep the original offer available for comparison. Explain the changed detail alongside the new price. If only the length changes, for example: “This version keeps the agreed cap and color but uses the shorter length we discussed. Here is the updated price and delivery arrangement.” Use that wording only when those details have been confirmed. Avoid calling the alternative “the same wig for less” when the specification has changed.

Give the customer room to decline the alternative. If the original length or construction matters more than the price difference, returning to the original quote may be the useful result of the conversation. You have learned what they value without accepting a sale on unclear terms.

Before placing the order, confirm the chosen configuration and retail total together. If an order has already been agreed or paid for, a later budget conversation does not authorize you to substitute a different wig. Discuss any proposed revision with the customer and NUSFACE, and follow the applicable order terms.

For someone considering the agent role, this is part of the selling work: you decide your customer-facing offer and explain what it includes. To explore that arrangement, contact NUSFACE about reseller partner plans. Tell the team whom you sell to, how you reach them and which wig styles you want to offer.
